Moroccan Inspired Wedding

One of my favorite things about what I do is showing the bride and groom their event space before anyone else has had a chance to see the room.  It’s a very exciting moment for all of us.  The anticipation is intense.  The reactions are always the same – pure joy.  Image

The reception took place in Pontiac at The Crowfoot Ballroom, one of my favorite venues for a variety of reasons; but mainly because they offer a blank slate with a killer lighting system.  Lighting would play a huge role in this these.

Our bride wanted a very Moroccan Inspired Miami Club look. When we sat down to discuss her wedding designs she expressed that she also wanted two lounge areas: one private for her, her husband, as well as her bridal party; and one open for the rest of her guests.  She also wanted the overall feel of the event to be not only cool and clubby for her friends but comfortable and inviting that her family would not feel out of place.  We used a variety of different seating arrangements from high tops to sit down cocktail tables along with some striking specialty linen choices.

The flowers were simple, unique, dramatic and tropical in feel.  We selected containers that highlighted each of the areas throughout the space.  And of course there were a variety candle lighting and lanterns for ambiance. ImageImageImageImageImage
